Equestrian Pre-Registration (Stall Fees)

• If coming from out-of-state, you must have a current Coggins and Health Certificate
• Check, Money Order, or Cashier’s Check Only: No Cash
• Make Check Payable to SCA Inc. / Kingdom of Caid
• Must be Postmarked between June 1, 2009 and August 31, 2009
• Please Print
• Stall fee must be sent in with Equestrian Registration, to Equestrian Autocrat
  No Horses will be allowed on site that have not been Pre-Registered

Arts and Sciences

Think war is just for fighting? Not so! We have Arts and Sciences classes (submit your proposals now). And we have a brand new Artisans Enclave: A special place for crafts demonstrations and hands-on lessons. AE will work with Arts & Sciences structured classes to provide a place to watch artisans at work, get hands-on experience, talk about techniques, problems and solutions, and get inspiration for new projects.

Site Location

Enjoy our wonderful site with green lawns, shade trees, lake breezes, and big blue skies at the Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area, 13601 Ironbark Rd, Taft, CA 93268. It is an easy drive over the hill to a lovely park where we have a large lakeside area all to ourselves. (See the war site on Google maps or on our own maps.)

Directions: (Approx 25 miles southwest of Bakersfield) From I-5 travel west on Taft Highway 119 (exit 244). Turn left (east) on Golf Course Rd (5.1 miles). Turn left (east) on Ironbark Rd/Buena Vista Park. Proceed to the gate for check in. The GWW entrance will be located at the park's "back" entrance, not the main entrance off Highway 43.

Media

ALL media who would like to come onsite and interview or film at any Caidan event MUST be approved by the Kingdom Media Deputy. Notice to RV campers

Our use area of the park will not include any full hook up sites for RV campers. We can only provide dry camping spaces (no water, electricity, or sewer) in a paved or dirt lot. Dry RV sites can be reserved through GWW's normal Pre-Reg process. Dry RV campers will be allowed to use the dump station at the full hook up site (approx. 1 mile from the Dry lot).

If you require full RV hook ups you must contact Buena Vista Reservations directly at 661-868-7050 or visit their web site at http://www.co.kern.ca.us/parks/buena-vista.asp to make a PRIVATE reservation. This reservation WILL NOT include GWW site fees. Spaces are limited. The full hook up area at Buena Vista is approximately one and a half miles away from the war site via a park road. No transportation will be provided between the full hook up area and the war. Those with a private reservation with Buena Vista must enter the park for camping through the main gate entrance on Hwy 43 and you will be required to check in to GWW via our gate on Golf Course Rd. Please do not send large files without discussing the file size and photos first.
