Welcome!
We're gearing up for the THIRTEENTH celebration of the
Great Western War!

What is GWW?

Great Western War (GWW) is the major camping event in the Kingdom of Caid, SCA for Southern CA, Vegas NV, and Hawaii. This year is our 13th GWW, to be held October 6-11, 2010. The event is held at Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area, 13601 Ironbark Rd, Taft, CA 93268. It is an easy drive over the hill (north of Los Angeles, over the grapevine I-5) to a lovely park where we have a large lakeside area all to ourselves. (See the war site on Google maps or on our own maps.)

Pre-Registration and Land Allocation are OPEN!

Pre-Registration is paying your Site Fee.
Land Allocation is reserving your camping space with a group.

These are two different processes.

  • PRE-REGISTRATION - Paying Your Site Fee in Advance, before the event
  • LAND ALLOCATION - Reserving Your Campsite with a Group
    • Campmasters must register first, to coordinate all the group members that register with a specific camp by name.
    • Campers register for a specific camp by name, coordinated by a campmaster.
    • Camps must be 7 or more people together.
    • Land Allocation is not dependent on your Pre-Registration, but it is highly recommended that you also pre-register.
    • Online Land Allocation
