Great Western War XIII Volunteer Treasure Challenge
Haven’t quite decided to volunteer this year at war, huh? Well, perhaps you just need a little incentive...
The Volunteer Department of Great Western War XIII would like to challenge any and all NON-STAFF MEMBER volunteers.
The first person to complete a shift (two hour minimum) with TEN different departments at war (pre-war set up not included) will receive the Grand Prize.
All prizes are in addition to the raffle tickets that are issued per shift for the War Prize Raffle!
GRAND PRIZE: Two free pre-registration admissions (non-member value of $100) to Great Western War XIV!
The second person to complete the challenge will receive one pre-registration admission to Great Western War XIV!
The third person to complete it will receive one paid SCA membership!
So now that you have a little motivation for volunteering ... We’ll be looking for you at Volunteer Point!
Official Rules of the Volunteer Treasure Challenge
- Only non-staff volunteers may compete.
- All entrants must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
- Both paid members and non-members of the Society for Creative Anachronism are eligible to participate in the Volunteer Treasure Challenge.
- An entire two hour shift must be completed per department in order for the hours to qualify. No partial shifts will be accepted as qualification for this challenge.
- Winner of the first prize Treasure must redeem the prize for the following year’s war (Great Western War XIV) only.
- All participants of the challenge must register their intent to participate with the Volunteer Coordinator or Deputy Volunteer Coordinator prior to participation. No exceptions to this rule.
- All prizes will be arranged between the winner and the Volunteer Coordinator. All prize winners will be announced at the End-of-War Prize Raffle ceremony.
- All prizes are transferable.
- For the purposes of this Challenge, a maximum of two departments may be worked per day (24 hour period) with a minimum of two hours per department.
- For the purposes of this Challenge, Gate, Troll and Pre-registration Verification are considered the same department.
**All prizes in the Volunteer Treasure Challenge are provided for by private donations. No SCA derived funds have been or will be used in the distribution of prizes associated with the Volunteer Treasure Challenge. All prizes listed are a minimum prize and are subject to change (more may be added to the prizes but nothing will be subtracted).
